Freeman Surgical Center is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Joplin, Missouri. The center was developed by area physicians to provide their patients quality, patient-focused outpatient care for general surgery, gynecological surgery, hand & micro vascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management, and pediatric surgery offers residence.

Synthetics International's advanced water based Synthetic30 moisture treatment technology was selected for use on this newly built 20,000 square foot structure due to its short 8 month construction schedule and limited dry time during the winter construction period. Six inches of concrete was placed and shortly after sealed using the Synthetic30 to prepare the concrete for future flooring systems. This early application method has been used on various projects to allow 100% of the concrete slab to be treated prior to interior wall placement, windows and doors. The application process allows us to be one of the early trades into the building with complete applications complete in less than 4 days time and a cost savings of 13% over traditional shot blasted application methods. If time is money, this is the system for your next project!

We recommend this application to all clients with a short construction schedule and the demand for low water vapor emission rates. In less than 6 months of construction you can expect to see low concrete floor moisture results of 0.63, 0.79 and 0.79 lbs. in 1,000 square feet using ASTM F1869 testing equipment.
